News in Brief: 2019 Annual "YES for Liberty" Constitution Bee Scholarships were awarded on Sunday, March 3, 2019. 13 of the 27 students confirmed to participate from across Kansas braved the bitter cold and snow to vie for the top award of $3500.00 ultimately won by Mark McAllister, Wisdom Academy, Americus, KS. Second Place award of $1500.00 went to Carson Cargill of Isabel, KS, Medicine Lodge Jr/Sr High School, Medicine Lodge, KS. Third Place, $750.00 award, was presented to Rita Archer, St. Mary's Academy St. Marys, KS. Congratulations to the award winners and to all who stepped forward to test their knowledge of the Constitution of the United States which secures our "unalienable" rights as stated in the Declaration of Independence. Thank You to parents, teachers, guests and especially to the donors and volunteers who give generously of their time and treasure to make it all possible.
